This is extremely upsetting to me.  People on my dash are defending circumcision and saying that outlawing the CUTTING OFF OF A PART OF A BABY would be religious discrimination.

Just because “your boyfriend” or any other male you know is happy without his foreskin or doesn’t know or care about the body part he’s missing doesn’t mean that tons of men haven’t suffered partial or total loss of their sexual function.

No one has the religious right to cut off a part of another person’s genitals and potentially damage them for life.  I don’t care what religion it is and I don’t care if it’s the parents.

Oh, this isn’t a feminist issue because it’s men that are the victims?  Okay.  Fine.  They have more rights than us.  They have privilege.  But that DOES NOT change the fact that their BODIES are being ALTERED because some wackos in past centuries didn’t like masturbation.

Sure, some men are assholes.  Sure even more men are accidental assholes because they refuse to see their privilege.  BUT AN INTIMATE AND PERSONAL PART OF THEIR BODIES IS BEING CUT OFF.  THAT’S NOT RIGHT.

We can’t stick our fingers in our ears and refuse to do proper research because we’re too worried about our own problems.

I know what sounds like a good idea.  Belittling someone’s political stance because of their gender.
