                Here’s what I don’t understand about circumcision. You have a beautiful child made out of love that you adore and say “Oh, they’re perfect in every way! Now let’s mutilate their genitals so they can be more aesthetically pleasing. It’s ‘cleaner’ that way”.  Why is it considered cleaner looking, or more pleasing to the eye? Why are someone’s genitals something that would be made fun of anyway?

What you forget is that human beings have evolved for millions of years so that we would be able to propagate the species as efficiently as possible. If having foreskin was dirtier and if it was impossible to clean (hint: It’s not), then infection would set in and the species would have simply died out. Maybe then the chimps would be the dominant species, who knows? Yeah, that was a Planet of the Apes reference. Deal with it.

                In order to clean foreskin, all you have to do is pull it back gently and wipe with a damp rag or towel. That is literally it. Oh, also don’t forget to let go of your pecker.  Don’t play with it too much! Have you also forgotten that they are not your genitals to slice up? That’s right, they don’t belong to you. You should not have a say in whether or not they get modified. You should leave it up to the owner of the penis as to whether or not they get modified.

What’s that? They’re only a baby, and thus cannot give consent? Well then, I guess you will have to wait until they can form an informed opinion on the subject. That’s right, I said consent. Consent matters, jerk. As in all other aspects of life, consent is what is important. Otherwise you are violating their rights to having their body intact and left alone.

                Please try to respect the genitals of others. Thank you.
